Since the collapse of central government of Somalia, the health systems has been seriously affected though the situation has improve in the past years due to private health facilities mushrooming and the support of international and local organization, the services are expensive and there is no proper check on quality of drugs shipped to the country. Major affected populations are marginalized and minority groups, women and children which ADRO is dedicated to ensuring the overall well-being of these social disadvantaged community members by provided them with quality healthcare and nutrition services. The famine in Somalia has also contributed to millions of people at risk of severe malnutrition and outbreaks of diseases such as cholera and measles.

ADRO gives particular on the reduction of maternal and infant mortality, the reduction of malnutrition, the construction of new and rehabilitation of existing health infrastructure. This will be achieved through the establishment of inter-linkages between the various stakeholders including government, community leaders and civil society organization which are the most effective component within the communities we serve. Under our programs of health and nutrition, ADRO focus to improve reproductive health and building the capacities of community health workers to ensure support to our target audience that are economically disadvantaged and socially marginalized receive timely and quality services.
