Education (Training and capacity building)

  • Increase opportunities for education, life- skill development & other basic services for youth.
  • Provide enhanced capacity building for duty bearers, civil authorities, health workers, teachers & parents, on civic education.
  • Conduct awareness campaigns against continuation of any form of the retrogressive cultural practices e.g. FGM & Forced marriage.
  • Actively facilitate seminars and training for community volunteers on WASH and hygiene promotion.
  • ADRO is currently planning to launch Go to school programme in 4 states of south-central Somalia.

ADRO (Access Development and Relief Organization) is a humanitarian organization established in 1995 and registered in Somalia under the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation. With a strong presence across Somalia, ADRO focuses on providing support to vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, returnees, smallholder farmers, women, children, and marginalized groups. The organization delivers services in sectors such as livelihoods, education, health, shelter, and protection. ADRO collaborates with various international and local partners, including UNFAO, SHF/UNOCHA, and others, to address humanitarian needs and build resilience within communities affected by conflict, climate change, and displacement.
